Automotive exterior plastic part paint

For plastic components extensively used in automotive exterior parts (such as bumper skins, wheel arches, spoilers, and outer door handles), we have developed a dedicated low-temperature baking high-flexibility coating. This system primarily employs two-component polyurethane or water-based polyurethane technology, which can form a strong coating on low-surface-energy plastic substrates such as TPO, PP/EPDM, PC, and PBT. Additionally, the coating's elastic modulus is highly matched with the plastic substrate, ensuring no cracking or peeling occurs during elastic deformation or impact. The product focuses on enhancing performance in three key areas.

Product Applications and Characteristics

  1. Excellent weather resistance, achieved by adding light stabilizers (HALS) and UV absorbers, ensuring no fading or chalking under outdoor sunlight exposure;
  2. Excellent stain resistance and self-cleaning properties, making it easy to clean and resistant to road chemicals;
  3. Excellent color development allows for seamless color-matching with surrounding metal body panels, whether on solid or metallic colors. Exterior plastic parts coated with this material can last the entire vehicle’s lifespan and reduce environmental burdens from traditional electroplating processes at the source.
